Day 18 (Tuesday 4 March 2014) by Ben

We went to D.S.2 this afternoon.  While it looked quiet when we first arrived, the kids quickly came out and started hugging us.  I love how quickly these kids can make friends.  We played Takraw as is tradition, taught English, played other games, and sang some songs.  Next week we will be at the leadership camp and won’t be able to come to the home.  The week after that, we will be in Cambodia.  After Cambodia, the interns will leave.  It was hard for them to say goodbye this time because it’s the last time they will see those kids on this trip.

After D.S.2, Vern, Wijit, and I went rock climbing at a local gym.  We met up with Jan (pronounced Yan), from the Chung Doi Church.  It was really fun to have some guys fellowship time around a sport.  Rock climbing requires you to put your trust in another person.  When you fall (and you always do) that person is there to catch you.  We had a great time climbing and then enjoyed dinner together.
